Addison had her two year doc appointment today. She weighs 24.6 pounds (19 percentile) and is 31.5 inches tall (4 percentile). Yeah, she's a shorty! If you want an update on the crazy family weekend that we had over Labor Day, see the Hatz family blog for an overview.

Oh my goodness! How quickly time flies by! My little baby is 2 years old today. 8:32 am, beautiful Addison Marie was born!!! You are becoming such a big girl and much more independent (tears from mom). Here are some things that you can do at 2.
2 years old!
Happy Birthday our little lady!!!!!

- Talk, talk, talk! You love to talk. You are coming up with new words all the time.
- You love to play the yes/no game. I ask you who made that mess or that noise and you always say yes to the right person, except when you made the mess!!!!
- You no longer cry when I drop you off at child watch at the Y. You walk right in and turn around to say good-bye.
- You still like to go your own way.
Just after you were born and in the NICU

3 months
- You want to listen to "bus" (The wheels on the bus) when we get in the car and always ask for it appropriately.
- You still love Sesame street, especially Abby. You can say Abby now and you are having an Abby Cadabby birthday party and are going to be Abby for Halloween.
- You also like to watch Care Bears, My Little Pony, Wonder Pets, Dora, and Thomas but mommy only lets you have, at most 1.5 hours of TV a day.
- You are still eating pretty well. Your not nearly as picky!
- You love trains, fire trucks, and police cars. You always let us know when you hear them!!!!
- You are becoming a little mommy! You feed your babies and give them baths.
If we take care of the moments, the years will take care of themeselves.

Pee Pee in the Potty!
Addison went pee in the potty tonight!!!! We sat down on the potty before our bath and I was grabbing the lotion that she likes to put on her hands and all of a sudden the potty is playing music!!! She was so excited. Mommy made huge deal out of it and I kept telling her what a big girl she was. Hopefully it continues!

Ramblings
I feel like I should update my blog one more time before I have to update it next weekend for
Addison's 2nd birthday. You can tell that I have started back to school. I neglect my updates. Not much new with us. We are just trying to get used to Ryan's new schedule and how is works when I am back in school. He has been working a lot and we don't see much of him. The good thing is he has at least one weekend day off, usually. Ryan is very excited for Iowa football season to start and always lets me know when they get a new recruit or when they lose one. Addison is talking up a storm. She is coming up with new words every day. She is getting very good at blowing bubbles and blowing candles our on birthday cakes. She loves going over to grandmas house and playing all day long. She also loves to go to child watch at the Y when her mommy and grandma go to bootcamp. I have begun another schools year and it has started out great. I have everyone from last year and one new little girl from preschool.

Almost two!! One more month
Happy 23rd month b-day Addison!!! Here are some things that have happened in the last month and new things that you are doing
- You can sign more, milk, movie, chip, fish, airplane, and please.
- Your vocabulary has expanded a lot this month. You are starting to put two words together. It is most often "hi" and then the noun you are refering to. You can say please, hi, g, juice, mom, dad, me, baby, papa, all of the animal sounds but no animal names yet, eye, nose, Cubs go, and so many other words that I cannot possibly write them all down but the ones above are the ones you say most often.
- You are in a big girl bed! This has been a difficult transition. It is hard to keep you in your big bed all night long.
- You love to camp and sleep in a tent.
- You love to dance, play the drums, and help mommy play the guitar.
- You love animals. All of your favorite books are animal books.
- You love to swim but everything has to be your own way!!
- You are very daring with some things but also very cautious with others.
- You love to hang out with your cousins (Cody, Callie, Colton, Trenton, Jaxson, Marshall, and Carter)
- Mommy had a great summer with you and was so sad to see it end!
Mommy and Daddy love you Addison Marie! I cannot believe that when I write this in a month, I am going to have a two year old! It doesn't seem possible.

Summer update
With summer winding down I wanted to show pictures of all the fun things we have done this summer. Camping, fireworks, parades, concerts, swimming, and just hanging out. We have one more big camp out this weekend before I head back to school next week. It has been such a great summer, I hate to see it end. Addison has become such a mama's girl this summer. We are both going to have a hard time transitioning to real life!

22 months!
Addison has lots to report this month but here is the newest development. We have moved her into a new room with a new big bed!!! She has been in there two nights and has done well both times. We are putting up window treatments soon that will block out some light so 5:10 doesn't seem like a good time to wake up!
Lovin' my new room!
