Quad City Triathlon

I did it! I signed up for the Quad City Triathlon in June! It will be my first triathlon. I think it will be very theraputic. You might be wondering why I need therapy or something to do. At the beginning of December, Ryan and I found out that we were expecting! We were very excited about adding to our family. It wasn't planned but that happens sometimes! Last Wednesday, I started bleeding heavily and ended up losing the baby. We are okay and have talked about waiting awhile until we try again. Before I found out I was pregnant, I was already planning on doing the triathlon this summer so I am back to my original plan. I am hoping it will help me get healthy and it will be something to do and work out for. Addison is doing very well. She is getting so big and starting to run around so much more. She still loves music and knows how to use CD players and which buttons to push to make the music stop and start! She loves to dance and has a great little booty shake!

16 months

Addison is 16 months old today!!!! I cannot believe it. She is no longer a little baby. She is a roaring, active, toddler who is moving into her terrible twos. We are catching some glimpses of them already. Here are some bullet points of what we love so much about our little peanut.
  • She is walking everywhere. She prefers to walk over being carried and will scream if she cannot have it that way.
  • She loves cell phones, remotes, computers, bascially anything that we do not want her to have.
  • She loves books! She will look through books for hours and will always find the animal books and specifically point out the cats and dogs. She loves those pages the best.
  • While looking at books, she will turn the pages and start talking like she is reading them. It is the cutest thing.
  • She hates her glasses and will not leave them on her face!
  • She loves to dance whenever she hears music.
  • She is saying "da-da", "ra-ra", "hank" (just the K sound), "na-na". Still no mom. =[ She is repeating a lot more sounds that we say to her though.
  • She definately lets us know when she does not want to do something or it wasn't what she wanted. She is a little spitfire!!!!!
  • She loves to smile at people and will always find someone at a restaurant willing to wave at her.
  • She is still a great sleeper at night (thank goodness). She is not a great napper.
  • She is the love of our lives and the most amazing daughter anyone could ask for!
